Pantelis Chandris was born in Athens in 1963. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, in the studio of D. Mitaras. He has had thirteen solo shows to date, while his work has been presented in a number of important group exhibitions. Works of his form part of important public and private collections including the collection of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens. In 2012 Chandris was awarded the prize of the Greek Union of Art Critics. He teaches at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He lives and works in Athens.
