Elika Gallery presents from February 23rd to March 24th, the group show entitled “Forgetmenot” curated by Supermina (Maro Michalakakos, Kostas Bassanos, Nina Papaconstantinou).
The exhibition investigates the amnesia, not only as a derangement of memory, but also as metaphor, an iconoclastic act, through the various aspects of memory and oblivion and proposes a deeper look into the dull void of amnesiac.
Having amnesia as the core, the artists locate and recall the void of erased memory, through a personal, social, cultural and political context. This same procedure emphasizes in the dynamics that are being created, allowing to an instant of clarity and purity to appear.
